The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pledged more than US$1 billion (S$1.26 billion) to

US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace

for the Gaza Strip’s post-war future, according to two officials briefed on the board’s fund-raising efforts.

The US has also committed more than US$1 billion to the board’s projects in Gaza, the two officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the details of the pledges.
